3/10/09 - Photos from Jason’s “Eye of the Future” Show and Installation Posted.
Jason’s solo exhibition “Eye of The Future” opened on February 20th at Eyeporium Gallery with a live painting performance by Jason. The show, which runs through March 28th, also features a new site-specific installation, also titled “Eye of the Future”, that Jason created for the gallery. 5/18/09 - Jason Featured in Paul Klein’s “Art Letter”.
Jason’s “Time Machines” paintings and his exhibition at Star Lounge were featured in the May 8th edition of “Art Letter”, a weekly e-newsletter about art in Chicago by art advocate, art consultant, and curator, Paul Klein.

9/19/09 - Jason’s Installation on WGN Chicago News.
Jason’s “The Future Is Recording Over My Pasture” installation was shown on September 14, 2009 as part of a WGN Chicago “Around Town” segment about the I.V. Lab Recording Studio. The segment also gave viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at singer-songwriter Matthew Santos recording at I.V. Lab.
11/18/09 - Jason’s Installation To Be Featured on Comcast TV.
Jason’s “The Future Is Recording Over My Pasture” installation at the I.V. Lab Recording Studio will be featured on Comcast Network TV in the Chicago area as part of their “Community Connection” program. The segment will include an interview with Jason regarding his process and inspiration in creating this large-scale, site-specific piece. It will air on Comcast Network TV the week of 11/23/09 - 11/29/09 and then be available ‘On Demand’ for another month.

9/3/10: New Commission: Concert Poster
Jason was recently commissioned to design a concert poster for the band My Morning Jacket. The poster was for the band’s show at Charter One Pavilion in Chicago, IL on August 17, 2010. Jason’s design was based on his new original painting, My Morning Jacket As The White City:

9/3/10: Jason to Paint Public Outdoor Mural in Rogers Park (Chicago, IL)
Jason was recently selected from a group of over 200 proposals to create one of 12 large-scale outdoor murals in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. He will be painting his winning mural design, titled United We Flow, in the spring/ summer of 2011 at the Fargo CTA underpass.

11/9/10: New Commission: “My Morning Jacket” Poster
Jason was recently commissioned to design his second concert poster for the band My Morning Jacket. The poster was for the band’s show at Terminal 5 in New York City on October 22, 2010. Jason’s design was based on his new original painting, My Morning Jacket: Powering The Future:

4/4/11: New Installation for LinkedIn
Jason was recently commissioned to create a mixed media painting installation for the social networking company, LinkedIn, in their Chicago office. The installation, titled “Connecting To The Future”, shows a waterscape portal with a network of brightly colored spheres flowing into the room:

This new video by North Southern Films gives a preview of Jason’s “Futura Obscura” show at Jackson Junge Gallery, including footage from the May 6th opening reception, where Jason did some live painting. Plus, a short documentary from North Southern Films about Jason’s art will be coming soon!

5/28/11: Jason’s Art Appears in New Steampunk Book

7/18/11: New Short Film

Jason has completed his public mural, titled “United We Flow” in Rogers Park (Chicago). He was selected to create this mural as part of the 49th Ward Mural Underpass Vote.

Jason recently did LIVE painting at Coalition Gallery in Chicago, as part of the new Arts Collaboration Series put on by Groupon and Jimmy Chamberlin, former Smashing Pumpkins drummer. That night, Jason created a new painting, Sonic Swan Deity.

01/16/12: Coming Soon: Solo Exhibition at Firecat Projects Featuring a Brand New Series of Work
Jason is working on a new series of paintings and drawings that will be debuted at his upcoming solo exhibition at Firecat Projects in Chicago. These new works explore the themes of alchemy, symbology, and consciousness. Mark your calendars for the opening reception on Friday, February 24th.
