BUYING ARTWORK - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Interested in buying Jason’s paintings or giclée prints? Read through the following questions for some further information and feel free to contact us if your question is not answered.

How can I see your artwork in person?

See the exhibition listings in the News section to find out when and where Jason will be exhibiting artwork. You may also contact us to schedule a studio visit in Chicago, IL. If you are interested in a particular painting or giclée print, tell us and we’ll be happy to let you know where you can see it. If the painting or print in question is not in a current exhibit and you are local to Chicago, we can set up a time to meet and show you the piece (with no obligation). Keep in mind that not all available artwork in shown on the website, so you can see other pieces at Jason’s exhibits and in his studio.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept checks, Visa, Mastercard, and Discover as well as cash. We also offer online payment via PayPal, where you can either securely process a credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express accepted), or pay via your PayPal account (if you have one).

Do you offer layaway/ payment plans?

Yes, in some cases. Payment installment plans may be arranged where you pay a deposit to hold the piece, and then take your time paying the remaining balance. Ask us for details.

Can I buy artwork online?

Yes, as of November 2009, selected original paintings and giclée prints are available online in the Jason Brammer Etsy Store. For all other paintings not in the Etsy store, if you’d like to pay online, we can email you an invoice via PayPal, which allows you to pay securely online using your PayPal account (if you have one) or with a credit card.

How much do your paintings cost?

The prices of Jason’s paintings vary by size, medium, and series. Prices currently range from $75 to $5500. To find out the price of any particular piece, just click on the “Request Price” link listed by available paintings in the Portfolio sections and then hit send when the email pops up (you must click on the painting thumbnail image in the Portfolio section and go to the page showing the individual painting to see the “Request Price” link). We’ll then reply back to you with the price and other relevant information, such as where you can see the painting. Keep in mind that sales tax may also apply to any purchase and that all prices are subject to change.

I don’t live near Chicago. Can you ship my painting? How long does shipping take?

Absolutely! We can ship artwork almost anywhere in the world, though shipping and packaging charges may apply. For domestic shipments, original artwork will typically arrive within 7 - 14 days. Giclée prints may take an additional 1 to 2 weeks, as they are produced and then prepared individually for each buyer (unless we have one in stock that is ready, in which case it should arrive within 2 weeks). All international shipments may take longer, and we are happy to get you an estimate. Please keep in mind that if the piece you purchase is part of an exhibition, we may ask that it remain in the exhibition until it ends, at which point we will ship your artwork.

All artwork shipments are fully insured (this is part of the total shipping cost) and we use FedEx Ground for small and mid-sized pieces. Larger or more fragile pieces, such as large paintings from Jason’s “Time Machines” series, may require custom crating (to ensure their safety) and are shipped via freight, so additional charges will apply. Please note that a signature will be required for all deliveries and we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.

Can I commission a painting, mural, or installation?

Yes, Jason accepts requests for commissioned paintings, murals, installations, and other types of visual art projects. See the “Commissions” page for more information.

What is a giclée print?

We have a whole page devoted to this common question. See the “Giclee Print FAQ” section.
